CLEON Legal and Mediation Services is a unique, boutique law firm. We are proud to be recognised as a one of a kind law firm in Australia; we are the first private law firm specialising in domestic violence law.
Chrissy Leontios
We work in the following areas:-

  • Family Law;
  • Family Mediation;
  • Domestic Violence Law (for both the Aggrieved and Respondent);
  • Victim Assist Applications; and
  • Criminal Law

We pride ourselves on delivering excellent personal, empathetic, and outstanding legal outcomes for our clients. We assist private clients, self-represented clients, and humanitarian clients (clients which we help on a fee- reduced discretionary basis). Our offices are based in Townsville, however, we deliver our services throughout Queensland.

Chrissy Leontios, our Principal Lawyer, has a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Laws, Master of Laws, Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, Practice Management Certificate, Graduate Diploma in Family Dispute Resolution, and is a Collaborative Practitioner. She is Accredited with the Attorney General’s Department as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, recognised by the Queensland Collaborative Law Association and the International Academy of Collaborative Practitioners, and regularly undertakes training about child development, family conflict, and domestic and family violence. Chrissy Leontios has been the finalist in national prestigious law awards for: Regional/ Suburban Lawyer of the Year; Sole Practitioner of the Year; and Regional/ Suburban Law Firm of the Year.

CLEON Legal and Mediation Services  is committed to three core values, being: justice, fairness, & equality. Our mission is to promote access to justice in a dynamic, flexible, and modern way. We provide online legal and mediation services using secure cloud technology. The online services are unique. These services aim to assist individuals and businesses in rural and remote areas of Australia to access justice. CLEON also offers the flexible delivery of services; for example, the service facilitates evening and weekend conferences, legal advices, and mediations to suit a diverse range of needs.

It is actual and threatened behaviour, and behaviour which is used to incite fear.

Empowerment, recognition of one’s feelings, acknowledgement, empathy, and long-term skills building are experiences seldom experienced by families litigating in the family law system. 

Litigation in the family law system is harsh. 

This is a personal account of my quest to provide humanitarian services to the community, in alignment with my vision and values of all Australians receiving access to legal advice and legal services, particularly women experiencing domestic and family violence and those who rely on the legal system to achieve their safety.
