Our Principal Lawyer, Chrissy Leontios and her team, understand the complexities of the family legal system, and we are here to help you. We are specialist family law and domestic violence lawyers and mediators, and we specialise in children’s matters with the majority of our work centred on parenting issues. We work for the victims and survivors, and are committed to helping our clients and children be safe from family violence and abuse, and ensure we promote the best interests of the child in all family law matters.
We are North Queensland’s only private and specialised Domestic and Family Violence law firm, and only one of a very few in Australia. We take a trauma informed approach in dealing with all our cases to enhance the client experience through the legal process. All of our services help clients take a future focused approach to help move people forward after divorce, separation, or domestic and family violence. We help you prepare your Victim Assist Application, and lodge it on your behalf. This includes helping you receive financial reimbursement from Victim Assist Queensland, to recover monies spent as a result of an act/s of violence, and we can also apply on your behalf to receive a special recognition payment.

Our job is to provide you with legal advice and mediation services, as well as referrals to support networks. Although based in Townsville, we offer a virtual legal service across Australia to help with your family law matters.
CLEON Legal and Mediation Services will work with you holistically; we understand that clients do not often present with just a legal problem. For example, in consultation with you, we may engage a family counsellor, or child psychologist, or conduct safety planning and empowering coaching with you if you are experiencing domestic and family violence.
